We're introducing more experimental variants in this post.
The Messerschmitt Me.262A-1a/U3 was a reconnaissance version, manufactured in very small numbers, with either Rb 20/30 or Rb 20/20 cameras mounted in the nose with an additional Rb 75/30. Most of them were unarmed, but some of them retained a single 30mm Mk.108 cannon.
The Messerschmitt Me.262A-1a/U2 was a single prototype fitted with a FuG 220 Liechtenstein SN-2 90 MHz radar transceiver and Hirschgeweih (stag's antlers) antenna array, intended to be used as a single-seat night-fighter or all-weather fighter. Apparently just one prototype was modified but it's fate is unknown.
The Messerschmitt Me.262A-2/U2 was a single prototype which replaced its traditional nose with a glazed one fitted with a Lofte 7H bomb sight to fit a bombardier. It was intended to be used as a light jet bomber. As its development was started very late in the war and there were better alternatives like the Arado Ar.234, not very much effort was put into it, so the end of the war in Europe finished its development.
