Messerschmitt Me.262, part nine, various experimental variants

On this post we're going to write about some variants of the Me.262.
The Messerschmitt Me.262A-1a/U4 was a tank-destroyer version armed with a 55mm BK 5 test cannon. Two of them were built very late in the war (March-April 1945) and they were planned to be manufactured mounting a 50mm Mk.214 in the nose. Apparently, one of them was mounted with the Mk.214. However, according to some sources, the Mk.214 was never mounted. Anyway, there were two or three of them and their development was halted due to the end of the war in Europe in May 1945.
The Messerschmitt Me.262A-1a/U1 was another experimental up-armed version. It replaced the Me.262A-1a's traditional armament with two 30mm Mk.108, another two 30mm Mk.103 mounted in the nose and two 20mm MG-151/20, making it a total of six guns.
The Messerschmitt Me.262A-1a/U5 another heavy jet fighter modification with the standard armament replaced with six 30mm Mk.108 cannons in the nose. Apparently only one prototype was built and its fate is unknown.
The Messerschmitt Me.262A-1b was a variant composed by three exemplars. They were just re-engined Me.262A-1 with the BMW003 turbojets in lieu of the Jumo 004s. They attained a speed of 800km/h (500mph) and had a thrust power of 430Kn. Apparently some of them entered in combat in unknown circunstances and unknown results.
